Manager of Payer Analytics

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will lead a small team of analysts responsible for the creation and maintenance of business intelligence products and reports that evaluate program performance and outcomes and key performance indicators across a multitude of Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial payers. This position will report directly to CCNCs Chief Data & Analytics Officer.
Essential Functions
General Management
- Manage a team of dedicated resources that includes business and technical skills.
- Plan, monitor progress and provide oversight to the work performed by a small team of both full-time and contracted analysts.
- Mentor staff in regard to best practices, business context, professional growth and development.
- Promote a positive workplace atmosphere and a culture of professional excellence.
- Coordinate across other analytic, IT and clinical teams as projects and responsibilities overlap.
Payer Analytics
- Create, implement, and maintain multiple cost and utilization metrics across 10-15 different payers for nearly 1 million beneficiaries.
- Create, implement, and maintain RAF recapture rates by provider for Medicare contracts.
- Create, implement, and maintain pharmacy metrics by patient and provider.
- Enhance and maintain dashboards for monitoring performance on key performance metrics (quality, cost, and utilization) at the CIN and practice levels.
- Assist with the development of report cards for practices and providers to understand their performance in relation to contract benchmarks, other providers, and the CIN as a whole.
- Develop analytics that assist provider services and care management in their work with practices and provide actionable insights at both the patient and provider level.
- Oversee the integration of payer reports into our reporting applications.
- Report on trends and performance to leadership at regular monthly meetings.
Requirements
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to help a team of analysts prioritize and complete multiple projects using payer data.
- Able to convert concepts to reliable data products in a rapid and repeatable manner.
- Possess sufficient knowledge of practical project management to bring moderately complex projects to successful completion.
- Accurately predict and allocate resources for new projects and maintenance of existing products on regular intervals.
- Ability to anticipate and research emerging data issues to advise on potential resolutions.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with an ability to translate complex ideas into clear, easy-to-understand concepts and graphical or non-technical language.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL and/or SAS with demonstrated ability to learn additional programming languages.
- Experience with value-based care analytics and reporting
- Experience with Medicare preferred
- Experience with high volume claims and EMR data preferred
- Experience with Tableau preferred
Education and Experience
- Masters degree or higher in advanced analytics, social science, or health related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant analytics experience, 7+ years of professional experience.

- Position is a remote, full time (8 hours/day) position (working with a team remotely)
