Role Summary

The Manager of HR Operations will lead and direct many core functions of the HR Department, including benefits, leave management, and the implementation of company policies and practices. This role is responsible for creating and administering HR initiatives that align business objectives with people practices throughout the Company. Additionally, the position cultivates partnerships across HR functions to deliver value-added service and guidance to management and employees that reflects the strategic goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide department overview of training/onboarding protocols for new organization staff
  • Mentor and coach HR staff regarding HR and employee related inquiries while providing timely feedback and mentorship
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership team to align HR initiatives with agreed upon objectives
  • Identify ways to create and improve policies and procedures, assist with development and implementation programs, procedures and guidelines that align our workforce with the strategic goals of the company
  • Coach and mentor managers on company disciplinary processes and provide best practices guidance on employment issues
  • Assess needs and develop Training Programs to help resolve identified skill gaps
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures
  • Support and guide HR personnel, management, and other staff in all RRMS locations when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions/issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and processing terminations
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop job descriptions that are consistent with company standards and appropriately convey clear expectations
  • Manage employee relations issues effectively and respectfully
  • Assess and develop existing and new policies and procedures to ensure enforceability with legal standards, and alignment with company mission, objectives, and employee satisfaction
  • Proactively assign transactional and administrative tasks among the HR Team to achieve efficiency with a focus on the core responsibilities of their roles and desired career development
  • Ensure that an effective performance management program is in place and utilized to drive a high performing culture

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related study or four years of additional HR experience beyond the below required experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in progressively senior-level Human Resource positions
  • Expertise in HR principles and practices
  • Advanced knowledge of various employment laws
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and prioritize workload accordingly while leading a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM or PHR Certificate
  • Consulting and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations
  • Successful record of developing and executing HR programs on a scale
