JOB SUMMARY:

This manager level position is with the forensic accounting group, Lowers Forensics International, and will participate in engagements evaluating economic damages and business income losses suffered by businesses resulting from catastrophic events, litigation, or disputes. Assignments include assisting on financial investigations to quantify economic damages including areas of litigation support, dispute resolution, and catastrophic response within a wide range of industries.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following (and as assigned):

Reviewing and analyzing historical financial and industry information and revenue and expense data as it relates to economic damage calculations, business interruption, property damage, and fidelity claims.

Preparation of financial analysis and investigative procedures in connection with various economic damage quantification and forensic investigation matters.

Conduct industry and statistical data research via the internet and other applicable sources.

Prepare workpaper files with documentation and evidence obtained along with procedures performed.

Prepare and deliver internal and external communications and reports.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance/Economics

CPA designation or be actively pursuing CPA designation

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position:

  • Travel overnight, as needed
  • Possess advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Can effectively lead and/or participate in information sessions and identify documentation required to support complex financial loss quantification and forensic investigation
  • Analytical problem solving and attention to detail
  • A commitment to teamwork and a high level of personal integrity and energy
  • Well organized and a self-starter
  • Ability to work on multiple files with minimal supervision and ability to shift priorities on short notice
  • High degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and confidentiality
  • Experience in client-facing consulting/advisory work
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to support demanding deadlines
  • Ability to successfully work in a rapidly growing and ever-changing environment
  • Desire to grow your knowledge as a professional and earn industry specific designations
  • Proficient in English language (speaking, reading and writing); additional language skills a plus
