The Brand Manager is a critical leader and member of the Orgain Marketing Team who will work closely with the Sr Director, Brand Management & Communication. The brand manager will lead aspects of the brand/market strategy/positioning and commercialization plans to deliver profitable business growth. The brand manager will also set marketing priorities and manage the day-to-day business planning and creating new product ideas that will accelerate this high-growth brand.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the Marketing priorities and create plans to accelerate velocities and share for protein powder category.
o Establish business priorities that will drive growth and efficiencies, as part of yearly business operations planning & tracking.
o With the Brand Analytics function, lead the deep and ongoing business analysis / growth diagnostic that will identify opportunities, track competitive movements, and assess effectiveness of past product launches and marketing tactics in order to drive brand actions.
o Co-develop Promotion, Pricing strategy (price gaps vs. competition), New item prioritization to win across channels with sales and finance partners.
Contribute to overall brand strategy, positioning, equity, owned assets and communication priorities that will deepen commitment to the brand and grow the short and long term business results
o Identify opportunities within product category ownership to expand HH penetration and repurchase for the brand.
o Participate and lead communication platforms, including integrated communication planning across key marketing stakeholders: Brand Management, Consumer Engagement, Experiential Marketing, Shopper/Customer Marketing, Health Care Practitioner Marketing and eCommerce.
o Own key brand equity driving platforms/tentpole events (some not all): brand partnerships to drive our clean nutrition platform; social cause; sustainability strategy; new year/new you and back to school tentpole initiatives.
o Lead package design development through deep brand, consumer and competitive understanding
Partner with commercialization team to lead new item innovation, providing brand equity, market & consumer insight to enable breakthrough ideas
o Co-lead the development & launch of 3+ innovations per year to grow core product sales and expand into new product categories with key retailers
o Strengthen ideas by leveraging the new Innovation Stage/Gate process from concept development through the product being on shelf, including improved communication and sell-in with retailers
o Coordinate the sales/marketing inputs to strengthen ideas in market as they get expanded
Set individual goals for improving and expanding on everyday job functions, as well as on the greater social and environmental aspects of your work. We expect that you remain accountable to these goals and report your progress in performance reviews.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
5-7 years work experience; MBA & marketing preferred
Exceptional results orientation with a high degree of personal initiative, resourcefulness and leadership
Skilled in analysis and problem solving and have excellent project management experience
Good balance of creative, analytic and innovative thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Passion for nutrition, food & beverage, Health & Wellness a plus
Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and commitment
Self-directed with a demonstrated sense of accountability
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic growth-oriented business
Ability to drive and influence complex decision-making with various stakeholder groups and build consensus.
3+ years of relevant experience working in CPG environment preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Position located in Irvine, CA and requires 2-3 days a week minimum in office subject to change per business needs.
May include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

CLASSIFICATION: (Exempt)
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned to the associate from time to time; the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands. This job description does not constitute a contract of employment and the company may exercise its employment-at-will rights at any time.
SALARY RANGE: $110,000 to $135,000 per year / per hour
Final salary is commensurate upon a variety of factors, including work location, experience, skills, field of responsibility, and education credentials of the associate.
