The Liaison for Event Planning and Promotion works with the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities and the Director of the Noyes Museum of Art at Stockton on a targeted range of projects that advance the capacity, engagement, and visibility of the School of Arts and Humanities and of the Noyes Museum. These projects will be administrative, operational, and communications-oriented, including event planning, marketing and promotion of ARHU and Noyes Museum events and accomplishments and maintenance of social media outreach and website content for both ARHU and the Noyes Museum.

Noyes Museum Responsibilities

  • Directs the overall strategy, planning, and vision for Museum special events
  • Serves as project lead for the Museums' annual fundraising gala
  • Leads efforts to further enhance the guest experience at member and donor events through more creative look and feel, increased engagement, and unique differentiators at the Arts Garage
  • Identify and implement new and innovative ways to maximize the ROI of events
  • Improve efficiencies in events operations
  • Oversee Special Events logistics and project management, creating improved systems and structures to ensure event tasks are executed accurately and on time
  • Co-manages and mentors Arts Garage staff
  • Oversees master museum event calendar and ensures information is communicated widely
  • Manages volunteers for events
  • Collaborates with staff from across the Museum to execute events
  • Works events as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

ARHU Responsibilities:

  • Launches and maintains the School of Art and Humanities' presence across social media platforms (including the Performing Arts Center and other ARHU programs and centers as well as the Noyes Museum)
  • Collaborates with partners on and off campus in marketing and promotion of ARHU programming and accomplishments
  • Supports the development of partnerships and co-sponsored events with arts-related organizations, non-profits, community organizations and businesses
  • Provides data and research related to special projects and events for dean
  • Helps organize and oversee events for the School of Arts and Humanities
  • Supervises students involved in special projects, promotion, and event-planning
  • Designs and maintains School of Arts and Humanities digital newsletter
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean of Arts and Humanities or the Provost and Vice President


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in hospitality, arts or communications
  • Two years of experience working with nonprofits, hospitality industries or arts related organization
