The BUILD Initiative is a national effort that advances state work on behalf of young children (prenatal-five), their families, and communities. BUILD staff partner with early childhood state leaders focused on early learning, health, mental health and nutrition, child welfare, and family support and engagement to create the policies, infrastructure, and cross-sector connections necessary for quality and equity. BUILD provides consultation, planning, and tailored implementation assistance, learning opportunities, resources, and cross-state peer exchanges. These efforts help state leaders improve and expand access to quality and promote equitable outcomes for our youngest children.

BUILD is fiscally sponsored by TSNE (tsne.org), which provides financial and grants management, human resources, legal, and other supports.

The BUILD team is virtual; team members are located across the country. The person filling this position will work from a home office. Team members have opportunities to attend in-person meetings but work primarily via phone and computer.

Essential Functions

Support Learning Community

• Handle logistics and technology for learning community activities and miscellaneous topical webinars including email communications to participants, webinar invitations, webinar logistics, web-based resource pages, etc.
• Work with Communications team to promote events and distribute resources.
• Edit/format PowerPoint presentations for meetings and webinars.
• Continuously update and manage lists and calendars for BUILD's learning community activities.
• Maintain files on SharePoint.
• Maintain reports on activities.

Support Organization of Meetings

• Work in partnership with the content managers to support both virtual and in-person meetings of less than one hundred people. Duties include site selection, logistics planning, meeting registration, printing of meeting materials, attendance at the meeting, technical support of sessions, etc.

Other

• Fully utilize Salesforce.
• Review/proof BUILD communications to assure proper formatting.
• Complete all required paperwork, including time and expense reports, in a timely manner.
• Participate in a performance evaluation on an annual basis, including a self-evaluation of work performed as detailed in the job description.
• Participate in BUILD staff calls and semi-annual in-person staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated experience in meeting planningat least two years.

• Experience in early childhood or related fielddesired but not required.
• Experience in hosting webinars desired.
• Highly organized with ability to meet deadlines.
• High work standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Independent worker comfortable with participating as a member of a virtual team.

Compensation and Benefits

Location: Work will be primarily performed 100% remote from your location.

Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $45,000 / year and is commensurate with experience.
