Consultant Responsibilities

Activity 1: Assessment of three sustainable, national-scale iCCM programs

As part of their work on the assessment of three iCCM programs, the consultant will:

  • Develop a draft assessment methodology that is responsive to the objective outlined above and solicit feedback from key stakeholders
  • Revise and finalize the assessment methodology and obtain necessary ethical clearances, incorporating feedback from key stakeholders
  • Conduct the assessment, including any required data collection and analysis collaborating with stakeholders where needed
  • Prepare the draft assessment report and solicit feedback from key stakeholders


Activity 2: Landscaping of CHW compensation and incentive schemes in multiple countries

As part of their work on the landscaping of CHW compensation and incentive schemes, the consultant will:

  • Design the landscaping framework and methodology and solicit feedback from key stakeholders
  • Revise and finalize the landscaping framework, incorporating feedback from key stakeholders
  • Conduct the landscaping exercise, collaborating with stakeholders where needed
  • Prepare the draft report detailing the findings of the landscaping

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in public health, health policy, epidemiology, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience designing and conducting program assessments and/or evaluations, with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods (Sample of previous assessment or evaluation report should be provided with application)
  • Knowledge of iCCM and primary health care systems in developing country settings, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in international public health, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa
  • Proven track record of working with key stakeholders in government and non- governmental organizations
