Are you an educational enthusiast ready to take on a challenge and wear multiple hats at a fast-growing organization? We are looking for a professional with a strong background in adult education to join our team to design and develop training & education programs for our learners.


  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that increases retention and aids application.
  • Design learning for all modalities including asynchronous, synchronous, online, and in-person.
  • Work with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and target audience.
  • Support collaboration among SMEs, third party vendors, and stakeholders in design projects.
  • Create and present storyboards for new educational programs that contains screen content, graphics, audio scripts, and interaction.
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and methodologies.
  • Design programs that reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners and learning styles and are ADA 508 compliant.
  • Design exercises and activities that engage the audience and enhance learning.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.).
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the training.
  • Maintain organized documentation for projects.
  • Use a continuous improvement approach and learner feedback to refresh and improve NAHQ's educational product portfolio.
  • Develop comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness.

Education and Experience

  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology, or adjacent/relevant field.
  • 7 to 10 years of previous work experience in instructional design and development.
  • Healthcare industry and/or association experience preferred.
  • Proven experience designing educational curriculum and working with subject matter experts.
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential through the Association for Talent Development (ATD) or equivalent helpful.

Special Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong proficiency with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline and Captivate).
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Robust project management and organizational skills to achieve target timelines.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of learning methodology (ADDIE) and instructional design best practice.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
  • A team player who enjoys collaboration and sharing.
