P.S.I. Fluid Power Ltd., a SunSource Company, is has a great opportunity available for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team! The primary objective of this position is to provide internal customer service for our customers. Other key duties include providing internal support to our outside sales team and service department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take incoming sales calls from existing and potential customers
  • Maximize each sale by asking pertinent questions and anticipating the customers' needs
  • Review and follow up on outstanding items daily.
  • Actively manager and expedite customer back orders
  • Responsible for understanding and abiding by the PSI safety policy & following safe work practices
  • Prepare and present quotes to our customers in a professional timely manner
  • Ensure all products are billed accurately to the customer
  • Follow-up with customers on outstanding quotes
  • Escalate customer service issues to management as required. Communicate lost sale issues (ex. pricing issue / long lead times) immediately
  • Passing along sales leads to outside sales teams
  • Ensure purchase orders are issued to the correct vendor & pricing is correct
  • Provide internal support in the form of pricing / invoicing for outside sales team
  • Assist in maintaining our cross-over lists on the server
  • Assist in liquidating deadstock
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues escalating to branch manager as required
  • Actively participate in weekly sales meetings to look for way to consistently grow and improve branch operations
  • Ensure all information entered into P21 / CRM system is complete and accurate
  • Assist on providing input with the Operations Manager as to what we should stock locally for non-core products.
  • Must participate in courses to update knowledge to carry out responsibilities / duties.
  • Assist in inventory management through monthly cycle counts and annual inventory counts
  • Participate in the after hours on-call system
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years of direct sales experience
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Experience with Prophet 21 preferred
  • Mechanical and / or hydraulic theory / experience would be considered a definite asset

Training Required

  • Prophet 21 Training - Inside Sales
  • Eaton University Certifications (3 Year Expiry)
    • Level 100, 200, 300
  • Lunchbox Sessions Hydraulics
  • Specialized product training

Organizational Relationships

  • Direct report to the Branch Operations Manager
  • Frequent interactions with customers, suppliers
  • Regular interaction with PSI employees and management
