What's the job all about?

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for actively overseeing the development, maintenance, security and administration of all business systems and taking ownership of day-to-day technical support for network infrastructure, systems software and hardware. This position is a hybrid role based out of our San Diego, CA office.


The essential functions of the role include:

  • Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures for cybersecurity, hardware, operating systems, databases and software applications and ensuring their effective implementation
  • Ensure IT operations compliance with applicable legislation and proper budget control of IT investments
  • Provide responsive, timely support to all end-user questions and support requests
  • Develop and formalize policies, procedures, and documentation of all technology systems and ensure their accuracy, completeness and compliance
  • Conduct requirement analysis and engage in information systems process optimization by implementing reliable, secure, flexible, and dynamic IT infrastructure to ensure business enablement, and staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Review all technology project plans and coordinate project activity including requirement definitions, RFPs, and reporting review for executive approval
  • Perform risk assessments and security audits to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and systems, and implementing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Office 365 environment including identity management platforms
  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot on-premise Servers
  • Manage and maintain AWS cloud environment including servers, Virtual Networks, and Backup Systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based VoIP teleconferencing systems and QoS
  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot local area network (LAN) infrastructure including switches and wireless infrastructure.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot WAN including Internet circuits, and Site-to-Site VPN
  • Manage enterprise security platforms including systems hardening, firewalls, VPNs, encryption
  • Manage Endpoint protection systems and Email Anti-SPAM system
  • Administer IT Asset Management and Service Management (Help Desk) systems
  • Manage software licensing and IT Vendor relationships
  • Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency


This Team Member will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required
  • Must have 5+ years experience in corporate IT Operations
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and cloud architecture AWS
  • A+, Cisco or Microsoft Certifications preferred.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or other relevant security certification preferred
  • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as ISO27001
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organizational and technical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
