GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Serve as ambassador for the IdeaCollider space located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Proactively manage the client experience for all visitors to the IdeaCollider. Support efforts to build awareness for our space and services through on-site events, tours and other initiatives. This roles also includes identifying leads from visits with the goal of furthering the sales process and converting to opportunities and meeting sales goals. Be present in the IdeaCollider Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With a strong passion for service, create an engaging and memorable experience for visitors, clients, and employees alike.
  • Greet and direct clients arriving and departing; inform visitors about the showroom experience and new products and services.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty to help grow business.
  • Provide tours using strong product and service knowledge, act as an informational resource, providing insight and answers.
  • Organize, coordinate and participate in special events and programs to develop and maintain strong client and industry relationships
  • Partner closely with EVP Healthcare and Life Science on IdeaCollider issues and questions; bring ideas to the table to enhance the client experience and space
  • Undertake various administrative tasks related to the IdeaCollider and basic business operations
  • Maintain a clean and well-supplied workspace, update product, and continuously expand your knowledge of product
  • Identify leads from visits with the goal of furthering the sales process and converting to opportunities.
  • Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending sales meetings, training and presentations
  • Continue to advance industry and career knowledge while representing McCoy-Rockford through the participation in networking and market activities


KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in hospitality, event planning, sales, marketing or related field is required
  • Event coordination a plus
  • Demonstrated success in working with a diverse team


EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma required; College degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills including tactful interaction with others
  • Positive attitude, friendly, and outgoing
  • Ability to think quickly and efficiently when confronted with a request
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
