About the role

Oxford University Press has an exciting opportunity in our Human Resources (HR) department based in the Research Triangle Park area. We are looking for an ambitious HR Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in coordinating a number of HR initiatives and functions. This opportunity will include a full-time work schedule. The HR Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a variety of key day-to-day functions, as well periodic organizational initiatives and ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies and processes, benefits enrollment and information, and HRIS functions
  • Employee On-boarding: Complete Form I-9 verification via online E-Verify system, and transfer employee record and job information to payroll via HRIS
  • New Hire Orientation: Conduct New Hire Orientation for new hires. Distribute and collect all new hire orientation materials.
  • Coordinate with IT, facilities and HR, the internal on-boarding and off boarding processes.
  • Lead general Human Resources Information System (HRIS) training for staff and managers, generate basic reports, and assist the team in gathering essential employee information
  • Assist in the set up and coordination of employee engagement events, blood drives, service awards, etc.
  • Support benefits administration, including new hire benefits enrollment, open enrollment period and distributing transit cards

About you
  • 1-2 years of work experience
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently, and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a virtual environment.
