POSITION PURPOSE

The Human Resource (HR) Assistant provides general support to the Human Resources department. The HR Assistant facilitates administrative duties in the following areas; direct support to the HR department, benefits administration, new hire onboarding, leave of absence, personnel file maintenance, employee relations functions and assisting with employee events as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct administrative support for HR, including assistance with daily tasks, special projects, schedule management, report preparation, and company-wide programs and planning.

Tracks and files all departmental contracts and policies including, but not limited to benefit and vendor contracts.

Oversight of HRIS administration (ADP).

Oversees benefits administration to include change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.

Manages cafeteria plans and cafeteria plan annual evaluations at the request of the HR Manager. Communicates cafeteria plan changes to staff as appropriate.

Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

Prepares exit documents for terminated employees and performs exit interviews.

Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.

Process status change and wage adjustment forms.

Assists the HR team with strategic and corporate HR-related project coordination including; reviews, trainings and help with events.

Set-up of all HR manager and employee trainings.

Assist with provider recruitment and on-boarding as requested, including immigration documents, processes and timelines.

Format internal and external HR policies and procedures as needed.

Continually ensure internal HR forms are accurate and current.

Comply with organizations internal policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, Compliance Plan, along with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

AA degree in business or related field preferred.

Two to five years administrative experience, HR experience preferred.

Proficiencies in MS office.

Experience working in HRB a plus.

Proven ability to multi-task.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation a must.
