Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for oversight of payroll, day-to-day HR support to the organization, as well as HR administration within the Corporate HR Department. HR support will include supervision of payroll function, administration of HR policies and procedures; partnering with Operations to provide employee relations support; coordination of employee recruiting process; oversight of Workers Compensation, FMLA, disability administration, coordination employee wellness events and annual activities.

Essential Functions:

Performs recruitment activities for exempt, office and technical, and hourly position openings. Coordinates the hourly and temporary employee recruiting process for entire organization. Works collaboratively with hiring manager(s) to source, screen, interview and recommend candidates for selection process.

Manages the Payroll & Benefits administration functions. Provides direct oversight of weekly and bi-weekly ADP payroll ensuring accurate, efficient, and error-free processing. Coordinates upgrades as needed. Provides oversight/guidance of Time & Attendance and Payroll function. Provides backup payroll processing support, responsible for the attendance module system and tracking; responsible for weekly payroll audit.

Responsible for the oversight of and is the resident expert on the HR shared drive, ADP Workforce Now HRIS system and the LMS training system.

Responsible for ensuring compliance to state and federal requirements such as I-9 documentation, E-Verification, NYS New Hire, EEO, Affirmative Action and Annual notifications, Posting notifications, etc.

Responsible for and/or provides oversight of all employee disability, PFL, and/or FMLA requests. Also includes return to work and ADA accommodation requests.

In collaboration with EHS Supervisor, coordinates and oversees the Workers Compensation case management and return to work process.

Assists with compensation and benefits development and administers programs.

Provides employee relations support primarily to hourly employee base, exempt professional as requested. Is available on a day to day basis for questions and is an available resource to all employees.

Assists and advises managers regarding the execution of employee corrective action for the hourly employee base.

Coordination of the employee events such as service award program; annual holiday celebrations and other recognition programs.

Responsible for the coordination of the employee wellness program.

Manages the hourly performance management process.

Responsible for department metrics reporting (monthly reports, HR metrics, turnover statistics, headcount reports).

Responsible for the coordination and delivery of employee orientation program, ensuring new employees gain an understanding of the organization, benefits, policies, and culture.

In collaboration with Director of Corporate HR, is responsible for policy development, interpretation, review and updating.

In collaboration with the Director of Corporate HR, is responsible for the development and delivery of employee training initiatives.

Special Project work.

Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, HR or related field.

5+ years Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. HR management experience a plus.

PHR certification a plus.

Microsoft Office suite experience required.

o Excel at an expert level. Development of spreadsheets to create pivot tables and complex formulas.

o Word at an expert level. Development of interactive forms.

o PowerPoint at an intermediate to expert level. Ability to develop presentations which include spreadsheets, other data, and information presented in a clear and accessible manner..

General knowledge of ISO requirements and a working knowledge of those requirements as they pertain to the provision of document / record control, qualified resources, training, data analysis, and corrective and preventive action highly desirable.

Proven experience facilitating training.

Knowledge and experience with HRIS, preferably ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced time (E-time).

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

Office work environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to grasp, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
