ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Global People Services Team, you will manage and support a team providing a strong and professional HR support service in the Americas. You will oversee and direct all HR administrative, transactional and advisory activities around the employee lifecycle, benefits, payroll, and retirement processes as well as taking a leading role in any projects relating to these areas. You will act as an escalation point for queries and provide stakeholders with accurate and clear advice and updates. Principal accountabilities for the role include:
  1. Plan, organize, coordinate and manage the People Services Team for the Americas (US, Canada and Latin America). Ensure the team is delivering excellent customer service to internal colleagues, external partners, and stakeholders.
  2. Create and implement policies and procedures for the People Services functions, in accordance with governmental regulations for the countries served, and in line with standard global processes. Use a continuous improvement approach to regularly review these and ensure supporting documentation is in place. Partner with the Americas HR team to ensure that People Services support their business needs.
  3. Be accountable for all administration, initiation and completion of necessary workflows, and updates to employee data in HR Systems, supporting employees and managers as required, to ensure that accurate data is maintained.
  4. Be accountable for all Payroll processes, to ensure proper payments, deductions and reporting are captured. Check and approve final payroll submissions for each payroll cycle. Manage annual audits, working with internal and external auditors as required.
  5. Be accountable for all administration relating to employee benefits e.g. retirement plans, enrollments and forfeiture analysis. Manage annual audits, working with internal and external auditors as required.
  6. Champion and ensure compliance with internal ISDP and external GDPR rules and regulations, in relation to employee data.
  7. Engage with projects as needed, in an assisting, partnering, or leading role as required.
  8. Other responsibilities as required.


ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of experience managing a diverse team required
  • Strong collaborator and team player required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and related business and communication tools in particular, demonstrable, intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) required
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently, and maintain confidentiality required
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a hybrid environment required
  • 5+ years experience in an HR Operations Role and 2+ years specific experience in an employee benefits role, with general knowledge of laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, ACA, etc, strongly preferred
  • UKGPro and SuccessFactors experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA rules and US labor laws required; knowledge of Canadian and Latin American labor laws preferred
