A dynamic role to support the HR Business Partners and People Center, the incumbent will regularly interface with employees across the organization and demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, operating with the utmost integrity and discretion. This role has the opportunity to assist in performing human resource and benefits related duties in a variety of areas including employee relations, onboarding, recording keeping and regulation compliance, and supports or administers MSA programs, policies and processes.


  • Assists with new hire onboarding by preparing and providing new hire packets, communicating with new hire prior to start, and conducting first day orientation to ensure new employees complete required paperwork and gain an understanding of benefits offered and company policies
  • Reviews new hire paperwork for completion, completes forms for data entry, and submits for processing
  • Reviews I-9 documents and submits through E-verify, tracks I-9 files requiring reverification, performs regular I-9 audits and record retention
  • Maintains Kronos time and attendance system by entering status changes, auditing timesheets, and assisting supervisors and associates with issues or questions
  • Processes the Kronos file for payroll including validating timesheet approvals, processing and uploading files, creating the payroll audit report, and processing correction files
  • Triages and manages inquiries within the HR ticketing portal (JIRA)
  • Creates SAP data changes and position change forms for transactions
  • Acts as first point of contact for incoming phone calls, emails and JIRA tickets
  • Researches and responds to employee questions or concerns (policies, benefits, payroll, time, etc.)
  • Processes safety shoe reimbursements and badge requests
  • Opens and distributes incoming mail
  • Tracks and coordinates returned mail, using online tools to research missing participants
  • Assists with processing employment verifications and unemployment claims


Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Solid organizational skills and demonstrated ability to proactively accomplish objectives, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to interact with all levels of associates
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Education/Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years or more previous business office experience; Associate's degree in related field may be substituted for up to two years of relevant work experience; Bachelor's degree in related field may be substituted for up to four years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products


  • Certification or degree in Business or HR related field
  • 3 years of experience in an HR administrative role
  • Experience with time and attendance or payroll systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
