ABOUT THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will be responsible for field sales of Higher Education products in the Toronto area with accounts in Sudbury, North Bay, Peterborough, Durham and York regions. This position will strategically focus time and effort on key sales opportunities to grow the assigned territory and surpass set sales targets.
  1. Researching new opportunities and following up on leads generated by head office to grow existing customer base
  2. Meeting with professors to discuss their specific course needs and match those to OUP products to increase sales
  3. Effectively manage daily and weekly administrative tasks for internal efficiency
  4. Successfully planning daily, weekly, and monthly itineraries to prioritize time effectively
  5. Successfully implementing specific marketing campaigns to increase sales opportunities
  6. Strategic planning to develop and secure new business opportunities to increase sales
  7. Developing strong relationships with faculty members, department staff, and bookstore personnel to increase OUP presence
  8. Sourcing possible author candidates, and sending market information to the acquisitions group to increase product development
  9. Collaboratively working with colleagues and management in team settings to increase teamwork
  10. Surpassing set sales targets to meet and exceed territory budget

About you:
  1. 1-2 experience in a professional work environment
  2. Experience in professional/workplace communication
  3. An undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
  4. Valid drivers license

This position is based in Canada (GTA or Durham region).
