Working Title Head Men's Tennis Coach

Job Summary

Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a Head Men's Tennis Coach. This position is housed in the athletic department and will report to the sport administrator and ultimately the Athletic Director. It is the responsibility of the Head Men's Tennis Coach to design, organize, implement, facilitate, oversee and evaluate all facets of a Big Sky, NCAA Division I tennis program. This includes the educational, monitoring and supervisory components as well as working within a shared facility. This position will work closely with the equipment staff, sports medicine staff, classified staff, Associate Athletic Director of Academics and the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance. Will also work collaboratively with relevant constituent groups. This position will serve in an advisory role to the Athletic Director in evaluating all aspects of the men's tennis program and to provide insight regarding possible improvements.

It is the responsibility of the Head Men's Tennis Coach to study and know all policies and procedures integral to university, Big Sky and NCAA rules compliance. Will direct, develop and manage all aspects of the tennis program including but not limited to; recruiting, talent evaluation, conducting training and development of student athletes within the team concept, scheduling, budget management, supervision of assistant coach and monitoring academic progress of team.

Travel may be required a minimum of fifteen (15) nights per year for team competition & recruiting. Applicants must be able to maintain a thorough knowledge of NCAA and institutional rules, regulations and policies.

Must annually pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test for off-campus recruiting.
