The ideal candidate is an established leader of leaders, responsible for managing the Cloud Engineering and Automation team. You are responsible for defining the mission of your team, inspiring and motivating your team to pursue that mission, and setting strategic goals for them to achieve in that pursuit. You have a balanced understanding of business and technical objectives and your guidance is sought out because your decisions drive the best outcomes for both. You own a set of key performance indicators important to the business, and drive outcomes for the business by setting goals against these metrics. This leader takes end-to-end ownership and consistently delivers results in a fast-paced environment. They are a leader that the team loves to work with because they inspire, develop, and care for their team members.


  • Build and lead the Global Cloud Engineering & Automation organization that comprises of Cloud Infrastructure engineering, K8s Cluster engineering, DB engineering, Observability (o11y), Common services (Gateway, Kafka, Service mesh) and SRE functional areas.
  • Provide technical and strategic vision, strategy and execution to the broader organization to build and operate global platform services.
  • Develop and cultivate strong relationship with key stakeholders to drive the planning and execution of vital strategic and operational goals.
  • Ability to switch between player-coach roles across design, arch, engineering planning, feature delivery, operational excellence, enable other teams to deliver services, manage cost and usage of cloud resources across the org.
  • Take ownership on tech vendor management working closely with procurement and finance to drive improvements in cost management.
  • Build and grow leaders, people manager and ICs within the org to meet the scaling needs of the global platform.
  • Strong ownership and experience with on-call process / tools / workflows on incident management, change management, release management.
  • Experience working with Security and compliance teams to establish necessary controls and audits for large scale global platform services.


  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5+ years in a leadership role leading a global Cloud Automation & Engineering function.
  • Strong technical domain / architecture understanding around microservices and cloud services: AWS Cloud infra engineering, EKS Kubernetes, Observability (elastic search, prometheus), SQL & No-SQL Databases, service mesh, messaging service, self-serve tools, gitops pipelines
  • Experience leading VP's and Directors across global teams and technology function areas in Cloud Engineering.
  • Experience working in brownfield platform services with understanding on migrations, onboarding, refactoring existing services and functionality to a platform service framework.
  • Experience building and operating global scale large cloud platform infra and services with close attention to operational excellence metrics around incident management.
  • Experience in developed tools and processes to host, onboard, meter and support multiple service tenants on a global cloud platform serving millions of subscribers worldwide.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills - influence without authority, change agent, leadership presence, empathy, people development, process improvements, data driven decision making, cross functional leadership alignment.
  • Must be willing to travel.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discoverys total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $217,420 - $403,780 salary per year.

Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
