Description:

In 2021, Braskem America plans to grow its exports from 15 MM lbs/y of polypropylene (PP) in 2020 to 300 MM lbs/y. In preparation, we have executed as series of process and IT system improvements to automate and standardize export processes.

The Export Operations Leader role is required to build on these improvements and provide day-to-day oversight and management of the export planning and operations and be a central focal point for coordinating US export operations. Additionally, this role will coordinate export planning with the supply chain organization in Brazil to effectively support two export supply regions, as well has continue to execute future improvements to further streamline the operations The successful candidate will work to develop and enhance export processes, eliminate bottlenecks, improve overall export service levels, and unlock additional savings using a global mindset.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leads the comprehensive execution of US-origin container export order-to-cash, export broker, and logistics operations (e.g., inland transportation, inbound distribution planning of finished goods and warehouse raw materials, export warehouse operations and processes, and steamship line operations).
• Leads the US participation in global polypropylene (PP) sales, inventory, and operations planning process, including required inputs, executing outputs, as well as global dialog and alignment.
• Business process owner for US-origin export processes, including SAP and associated IT systems, third party business processes (e.g., export brokers, contractors, service providers), material resource planning, export trade compliance, and global SIOP.
• Participates in US cross-functional teams to drive alignment between domestic and export supply and demand planning and support effective combined operations, as well as global supply teams to drive efficient integrated global planning decisions.
• Leads the process to identify and develop improvement opportunities within defined areas of responsibility. Collaborate on executing prioritized improvements with the export team (and cross-functional teams and outside support when available) and maintain a roadmap of future improvements.
• Support and propose process and operations changes that drive sustainable improvements in the business results and effectiveness.
• Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset within area of responsibility. Promote and develop export subject matter expertise for processes and operational activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of expereince in Supply Chain/Logisitcs/Exports
• Minmum of 5 years of total work experience
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business related field
• AP ECC (SD, MM, PP) and SAP SCM (DP, SNP, PP/DS, CTM) experience required, with a demonstrated history of identifying and driving execution of order-to-cash, forecast-to-stock, transportation management, and export operations, systems, and improvements.
• Strong Microsoft skills Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Progressive experience in supply chain, transportation and global trade planning and logistics, business analysis, and/or sales support experience.
• Ability to collaborate and develop team members across multiple regions and countries.
• Strength in negotiating and persuading peers, leaders, and team members to avert conflict, increase productivity, and drive shared ownership of results.
• Project conceptualization and financial acumen to develop associated project business cases, costs, benefits, and return on investment.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

• MBA preferred.
