Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the central hub of all data requirements to support Sales: innovate and build dashboards and reports that influence monetization
  • Analyse secondary data (BARC) to understand competitor strategy and pricing, to help place discovery at the front of the competition
  • Identify missed client / category opportunities from secondary data sources to aid Sales with market coverage
  • Perform pricing and price efficiency analyses to influence the advertising strategy and maximize revenue
  • Build and maintain robust CRM & revenue data support to create ease in the data management and analysis for Sales & management
  • Be the lead to liaise with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, Global Business Solutions) to set and execute flawless operational processes
  • Identify opportunities for new revenue generation from data understanding and analysis
  • Be the key support for core team to develop forward-looking commercial strategies driven by market insights and an understanding of the changing advertising environment


  • Passion for TV and media
  • In depth knowledge and prowess of Excel and Power Point: should be able work on extensive data files with ease and speed
  • Be a quick learner to adopt to new processes and methods required for efficient functioning of the department
  • In-depth experience with BARC and related softwares
  • Strong affinity with high-growth and fast-changing environments
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience in commercial / revenue strategy, pricing, business development, advertising sales and strategy, preferably with a broadcast media background
  • Proven ability to challenge the status quo by thinking out of the box and introducing initiatives that change the way organisations think and operate
  • Should be keen in understanding of the competitive advertising marketplace in India
  • Experience analyzing and presenting all relevant market, industry, and company factors to support concrete strategic targets and priorities, positioning Discovery for strong financial performance and growth
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, this candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently to research, analyze, synthesize, and present complex qualitative and quantitative data clearly
  • Good communication skills with specific experience in data churning, handling and analyzing
