QUALIFICATIONS
Born again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures.
Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church.
Accepts and supports the school's statement of faith.
Indicates a continuing sense of God's direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
Possesses a minimum of a bachelor's degree in education or certification in school leadership is preferred and fulfillment of requirements for educational employment.
Teaching and administrative experience required.
Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
Agrees with the Lighthouse Christian School Statement of Faith.
Accepts and supports the decisions of the Board and Administration of Lighthouse Christian School.
Ability to effectively deal with conflicts that may involve staff, parents and/or students according to LCS administrative procedures and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the assertive discipline of students including all elementary school initiatives.
Evaluates direct reports and provides guidance for effective instruction and professional development strategies with specific regard to increasing academic qualifications and improving teaching practice.
Directs faculty and support staff to ensure implementation of best practices and positive outcomes for student experience and growth.
Assists school leadership with the school's educational program in accordance with the terms and provisions of the governing regulations, other directives of the Board, and the administrative procedures.
Assists in determining school staffing needs.
Oversees the coordination and scheduling of emergency classroom and recess coverage
Helps to ensure the fidelity of the written curriculum and systematically evaluate curriculum according to curriculum development cycle as well as coordinating the purchase of curriculum.
Assists in development of school calendar and provides assistance in scheduling of students.
Assists in the admittance of new students to the school in accordance with the governing regulations and administrative procedures.
Coordinates annual standardized testing, analyzes results and reports to stakeholders.
Provides oversight to the administration and communication of emergency preparedness program including scheduling and recording all emergency drills.
