About the position

OUP, the leading global ELT publisher, is seeking highly motivated 1 Educational Consultant (Acquisition) to add its Argentina team based in Buenos Aires

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and the purpose of this job is to carry out promotional activities interacting directly with customers to explore their need and wants, build trust, and offer a compelling solution based on OUPs portfolio of products and services so that existing accounts are maintained and expanded, and new ones are developed.

The selected candidates must be a creative and enthusiastic self-starter with exceptional communication, organizational and presentation skills.

  • Organize and execute an account-based activity plan to manage effective interactions with assigned accounts, be a solution provider giving OUP a competitive edge in order to achieve and possibly exceed targets
  • Establish and manage high quality customer relationships by conducting conversations with key decision makers to understand the needs and wants of the business, and strategically offer an efficient and effective solution to help their organization reach their goals
  • Prepare and deliver compelling professional presentations to customers that are relevant to their needs and wants, using existing OUP assets and resources available
  • Actively provide information on customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activities via line management in order to give strong insights for strategy setting
  • Continuously develop and improve portfolio and market knowledge, communication and promotional skills and tools through self-learning and active participation in training programmes
  • Carry out daily data base update routines to agreed Data Quality levels
  • Contribute to a great team spirit and high performing team
  • Adhere to OUP Ethical Policies

This is a full-time role. Travelling will be required.

About You

The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills:

  • Developed sales skills and techniques
  • Knowledge of needs of teachers and learners or relevant market area (international schools, academic institutions)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive, independent, problem solver, decision maker and strongly goal oriented
  • A strong self-starter able to analyse, look for and identify opportunities
  • Driving license

  • Teaching experience
  • Effective communication skills, B2 level of English or higher
  • Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems and educational platform
  • GJC Level: I5 (for internal purposes only)
