e-Learning Coordinator

The e-Learning Coordinator coordinates Education department programs and processes with specific responsibility for e-Learning delivery, Education Committee volunteer expense reimbursement processing and monitoring of the e-Learning email boxes. Completes appropriate operational process reviews and recommends process improvements. Manages the administrative responsibilities and provides support for Education department initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure effective operation of education programs and processes as listed above.
  • Support the delivery of xAPI-based e-Learning content through reporting of learner data.
  • Plan and assist in the development and testing of Learning Management Systems (LMS) enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Monitor and maintain e-Learning learning engagement applications.
  • Monitor, maintain and manage the delivery of cohort-based certificate programs and other blended learning offerings.
  • Liaise with and support e-Learning volunteers.
  • Support the delivery of e-Learning Education, Professional Development and certificate program content.
  • Manage departmental mailboxes and respond to candidate and other stakeholder inquiries, troubleshoot and recommend solutions; reroute or escalate as appropriate.
  • Generate ideas and make recommendations regarding e-Learning delivery process improvements.
  • Communicate e-Learning policies and course information to candidates, volunteers and staff.
  • Contribute to the timely processing of volunteer expense forms while ensuring adherence to guidelines.
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of all critical job functions.
  • Liaise with Web Communications to update and maintain accuracy of all e-Learning-related documents on SOA.org

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist staff with program and project activities.
  • Assist staff and volunteers with scheduling conference calls, meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Completes periodic special projects related to Education and Exams.
  • Serve as backup for other e-Learning staff as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (an equivalent amount of training, education and experience will be considered)

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an association or educational/training environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Project management skills, including attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make technical and process recommendations to increase assessment grading operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Make process improvement recommendations and document procedures.
  • Ability to establish, build and manage relationships with volunteers.
  • Ability to make objective decisions using sound judgment.
  • Effective skills in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate diplomacy in oral and written communications.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and highly confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to exhibit professionalism and represent the organization internally and externally.
  • Understanding of an LMS environment, data and reports related to assessment grading preferred.
  • Proficiency in Personify database environment strongly preferred.
  • Occasional overnight travel.

We are moving to a hybrid work model in February. Our future plans for growth include the opening of a Chicago office.
