OVERVIEW

Come to join the team that manages Samsungs product planning and enablement for DRAM products. The memory product planning team in the US, in collaboration with Korean HQ, is in the front and center of enabling next-generation memory products (DDR/HBM/GDDR/LPDDR) based on understanding CPU/System architecture, standard and new I/F eco systems . Working with customers and eco-system partners in the server, network and consumer vertical, this team defines the memory portfolio/specs/features for the largest semiconductor company in the world. This team consists of professionals who possess a fine mix of high level technical understanding as well as business acumen.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning strategic objectives and developing new initiatives for new Memory solutions
• Understanding and analyzing modern Hyperscalers compute & Memory architecture.
• Identifying bottlenecks and pain points in modern Hyperscalers HW/SW architectures, services and infrastructure management
• Identifying new features maximizing benefits from Memory devices and enabling key ecosystems
• Identifying strategic collaboration opportunity with various industry stakeholders in standard bodies to maximize product value proposition
• Evangelizing new standards and features for key customers and industry partners.
• Building a strategy and a feasible product concept effectively addressing multiple problem sets.
• Define, identify and orchestrate the necessary resources, technical elements (internal & external) and ecosystems (including standard body) for customer PoC and productization. Ex) combining system/processor/memory/storage technology and resources available from Samsung Device solutions business units to define a new type of HW / Platform tailored for demanding/emerging workloads such as AI/ML, edge & big data analytics.
• Coordinating, mediating and negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus on strategy and product plan.
• Working simultaneously with US colleagues, Korean HQ, and customers to effectively execute strategy and product engagement.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• BS degree minimum, MS or higher degree in CS, EE/ECE preferred
• At least 10+ years of combined experience in engineering, product management, business development and standardization in semiconductor strong understanding of memory products, ecosystem and roadmaps
• Must be generally familiar with semiconductor design, specification and general semiconductor fabrication technology/processing.
• Superb communication, negotiation and presentation skill with proven record

PREFERED SKILLS

• Experience in company strategy development and long term planning
• Direct/indirect working experience with OEMs and Hyper-Scale Datacenter is a plus
