Contributes analytic and strategic expertise to the development of future business growth to collaboratively build sound commercial assessments of potential new assets for the organization as well as inform the strategy for life-cycle opportunities for current in-line brands.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the NPP and LCM leads within the marketing team to build strategy.
  • Interfaces cross-functionally with Business Development, Research & Development, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to inform prelaunch strategies and determine the appropriate level of expectation and investment.
  • Leverages analytic expertise to inform the commercial strategy for pimavanserin LCM.
  • Collaborates on business development opportunities.
  • Gathers insights to inform commercial assessments of BD opportunities.
  • Collaborates to build marketing strategy and develop new opportunities based on customer needs and working with other functional areas.
  • Interacts effectively with Business Development, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Research, and Managed Care organizations in strategic long-term planning.
  • Works closely with senior leadership, functional departments and external partners as applicable in the marketing of new indications in order to effectively execute key commercial activities.
  • Informs the commercialization plan for potential new assets and LCM for pimavanserin, particularly as it relates to sales force sizing requirements, call plan, identification of target patient populations, and overall market opportunity.
  • Manages market landscaping work and competitive intelligence as it pertains to life-cycle indications of pimavanserin and other new assets we may consider acquiring.
  • Directs and assists in strategy for new indication launch and execution.
  • Utilizes market research to properly inform launch strategy.
  • Working closely with Marketing Leadership, and Finance to ensure appropriate resources and organizational alignment are available to capitalize on short-term and long-term business opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with the HCP and market research teams within marketing to identify go-to-market needs and inform strategy for future indications and new products
  • Functions as the backbone support for the NPP/LCM team within marketing. Develops methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for markets collaboratively across the NPP/LCM team.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in marketing, health care, business administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Requires at least 3 years' experience working in an analytics role and working with key internal stakeholders to develop new indications and preparing market for launch. Requires a solid background in marketing analytics with a working knowledge of secondary data and mining secondary data sets for answers. Solid experience in forecasting and the appropriate forecasting model to leverage across different launch scenarios and markets. Experience collaboratively building forecasting assumptions with marketing. Experience with analytics assessments within the LTC channel is strongly preferred.

  • Recent blockbuster brand experience, launch experience or major new indication launch experience

  • Ability to work with leadership and other cross functional peers and colleagues
  • Proficiency at creating and communicating a clear vision among team members, effectively aligning resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time.
