Overview

We are hiring a Director, HR Technology & Operations to our team due to growth!

At ADS, no idea is off limits, and we celebrate creativity and bold moves. For more than 50 years ADS has been manufacturing a variety of innovative and environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional materials. Headquartered in Hilliard, Ohio, we are a multi-billion dollar stormwater management company, manufacturing pipe and ancillary products. What does that mean? When it storms, we capture rain with our drain basins, convey it with pipe, store it using chambers and finally treat it with our water quality products, before safely returning water back to the environment. We handle, what we call, the entire lifecycle of a raindrop. Our products help prevent flooding, which increases quality of life for people living in large cities, suburbs, and rural towns. We also believe in creating a circular economy and are the second largest plastic recycling company in North America. We use plastic shampoo and detergent bottles to create pipe, diverting over 500 million pounds of plastic from landfills every year. ADS operates a global network of over 60 manufacturing plants and 30 distribution centers.

Many organizations fill job postings and communications with buzz words about changing and re-inventing themselves. At ADS, we are living itevery day. With over 50 years leading the water management industry, we are in the midst of a massive transformation of our entire organization, and we are doing it from a position of strength.

Having enjoyed an unprecedented growth curve with an even brighter road ahead of us, we need an overhaul of how we do business within HR. Many processes and systems exist today, but for the first time in our 50+ year history, we are creating a group dedicated to re-imaging how we get work done within the HR function.

Dont get us wrong, howeverthis is not HR for HRs sake. We aim to streamline and optimize to provide better tools, reporting and functionality to our Business Partners and teams of end users to unlock insights and analytics. Success will be achieved when we get the basics right, and gain a reputation as a group that can be relied upon to solve business problems.

  • Data and metrics are important and will be a key component to solving our problems and defining success

6. You have passion

  • You care enough about where you work to resist passing trash on the floor without picking it up

9. You have the experience and wisdom that typically comes with a bachelors degree and at least 7 10 years of real-world experience which may or may not have been in HR

Perhaps you noticed that we are leading a transformation that requires thought leadership and execution. Thats the headline, here are some details:

  • You will lead a team of HR professionals tasked with executing core processes, providing insights and analytics and partnering with Information Technology on the creation and execution of a Technology Roadmap.
  • You will be a mentor charged with developing a talent pipeline of HR leaders and individual contributors. You will take this responsibility seriously and care about and for those under your care.
  • Core processes your team will be responsible for include (but not limited to because we reserve the right to change our mind and you will find more work to do): Employee master data, new hire orientation, immigration, background checks, vendor management (relocation, recruitment process outsourcing, temp labor), reporting and analytics, headcount management, I-9 compliance and HR system administration.
  • You will work closely with our HR leadership team to assess priorities that need a system to support them and work toward implementing/enhancing technology to enable a leaner organization.
  • You will gain an understanding of the ADS business and what drives it in order to provide insights and analytics that help us measure the effectiveness of our efforts. The insights your team provides are not merely intellectually interesting, but drive actions which lead to improvements.
