Position Summary:

The Director of Corporate HR is directly responsible for the following Human Resource functional areas: Employee Relations, Training & Development, Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Development, Compliance and Recruiting. The Director of Corporate HR originates and leads the Companys strategic HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that Ultraifes Human Resources provide leadership and programs necessary to recruit, hire, motivate and retain the best and brightest employees to support Battery & Energy Products, Communications Systems and Corporate Functions across all Company locations.

Partner with the Presidents of the business segments to support the engineering/new product development and sales organizations by continuously building a solid pipeline of candidates for immediate response to potential growth or turnover, supplemented by continuous monitoring, recruiting, and upgrading of the respective teams through performance management.

Recruit and fill open positions that have been identified as key for our strategic growth with the right candidates in a timely manner. Develop and tightly manage a strong, reliable network of external recruiters to be utilized as deemed necessary.

Provide Human Resource expertise and support to the Companys M&A initiatives, including acquisition due diligence and post-deal integration followed by ongoing monitoring.

Responsible for the continuous improvement of the Human Resource business processes throughout the Company including automation, standardization, and integration of the HRIS systems.

Responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory and reporting requirements such as I-9 documentation, E Verify, Affirmative Action, Applicant Tracking, FMLA, ADA, COBRA/HIPAA administration, etc. This individual is the Affirmative Action/EEO Officer for the organization.

Responsible for oversight of employees relations activities, conflict management, complaint investigation and resolution, employee separations, etc.

Process owner of Human Resource aspects of Resource Management in accordance with QAP21.

Institutionalize, maintain, and execute an ongoing workforce planning and succession planning system to facilitate the strategic management of the entire organizations human resources. Work with the business segment Presidents to complete an annual organizational plan that defines future workforce requirements, identifies, and addresses talent gaps and forecasts future staffing needs.

Responsible for the Companys employee compensation processes and benefits plans, including the design, roll-out, monitoring, and annual renewal of benefits plans and providing analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefits programs.

Provide oversight of and recommendation for cost optimization/reduction in the benefits and other HR functional areas. Develop strategic plans to reduce costs while continuing to provide employees with high-quality, competitive benefits offerings.

Develop, implement, and provide ongoing oversight of a strategic health and wellness program.

In collaboration with Leadership, assist and develop strategic organization development to include organizational restructuring and implementation of workforce reduction when business condition merit.

Develop, implement, update, and provide ongoing support of the Companys Performance Management System ensuring alignment with the Companys three-year Strategic Plan and that employee annual objectives tie back to the annual Operating Plan.

Provide continued development and refinement of a systematic leadership development process throughout the organization. Identify training priorities and knowledge gaps. Target training programs to address organization wide gaps and deficiencies.

Partner with business leaders to develop and execute ongoing employee communication initiatives that reinforce the organizations strategy; provide up-to-date product and end user information; share quarterly financial results upon public release; and present general business outlooks that will contribute to a savvier, informed and committed workforce.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

BS Degree in Human Resources or related field, Masters preferred.

SPHR or similar Certification desired.

8+ years of Human Resources management experience required.

Experience working in a manufacturing or technical environment a plus.

The ability to make sound independent business decision required.

Excellent communication and influencing skills a must.

ADP/Workforce Now experience highly desired.

Strong knowledge of State and Federal Labor Laws as well as EEO reporting and Affirmative Action planning required.

Candidate should have proven experience in strategic benefits administration, talent acquisition, policy development, organizational development, employee relations, compensation administration and M&A activities.

General knowledge of ISO requirements and a strong working knowledge of those requirements as they pertain to the provision of document / record control, qualified resources, training, data analysis, and corrective and preventive action highly desirable.

High level of initiative and strong work ethic a must.

Physical Requirements:

Office work environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Ability to travel periodically.
