Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP), is seeking a Digital Strategy Associate to join our Digital Strategy and Online Events Team. Our tech-savvy event producers and instructional designers create and deliver hundreds of live events and digital deliverables every year, and we need you to help us keep up with the incredible demand for our services. The ideal candidate has professional experience producing online events such as webinars, online trainings, and virtual conferences, and/or designing/developing digital products including elearning courses, slide presentations, videos, podcasts, and websites. This role is part of a tight-knit, supportive team that values diversity in all its dimensions. We help organizations and individuals reach their full potential through professional consulting; research, evaluation, and data analytics; technical assistance and training; and virtual solutions, publications, and events.

Our areas of expertise include behavioral health policy and services, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, medication-assisted treatment, recovery support services, workforce development, homelessness, permanent supportive housing and employment, trauma-informed care, criminal justice, women and children, veterans, youth, health information technology, and population health management.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and assist on live events on platforms such as Zoom and Adobe Connect; serve as event host, co-host, moderator, or facilitator as needed.
  • Coach and prepare experts and guest speakers for successful online presentations.
  • Revise training materials and delivery approaches to align with best practices in online events, adult learning, and instructional design.
  • Design live event interactions and activities to support instructional goals.
  • Develop interactive elearning courses, polished podcasts, vibrant videos, and other self-paced products, often based on storyboards created by our senior instructional designers.
  • Provide attendee technical support during, before, and after events.
  • Support digital marketing functions including email and social media campaigns, websites, and digital product development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with facilitating//leading Web-based meetings or training events.
  • Proficiency in Zoom, Adobe Connect, WebEx, GoToMeeting, or other web conferencing tools.
  • Proficiency in elearning course development (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc).
  • Technologically savvy, with the proven ability to quickly grasp and master new software and technologies as well as teach them to others.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Excellent writing skills with attention to plain language, professionalism, and correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Education and Training

  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, writing, English, health communications, or education preferred.

Professional Experience
We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years of experience in online events and online learning. Background in instructional design, communications (especially digital communications), and public speaking strongly preferred. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage multiple competing demands without losing your cool are a must.
