Loyola University Maryland is seeking a motivated Digital Marketing Specialist to oversee day-to-day media buying and management for the University under the supervision of the Associate Director of Strategic Marketing. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work as a member of a strong Marketing and Communications team to increase engagement and enrollment, support the brand, and enhance the reputation of the university. Applicants should be experienced in digital marketing and traditional media buying including campaign planning, execution, management and optimization, tracking, and analysis. Strong preference for candidates with direct experience using Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio (or similar reporting dashboards), Paid Search (SEM), and Social Media Marketing. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities, learn new technologies and approaches, and work well as a member of a creative team.

Essential Functions:

1. Media Planning Develop digital media plans and strategies based on brand objectives and campaign goals for undergraduate and graduate programs. Identify communication media vehicles across display, video, mobile and social channels. Work with director and associate directors of strategic marketing to set clear KPIs against all channels, campaigns, and media tactics. Collaborate closely with the web and creative teams to drive a cohesive vision and integrated marketing campaigns.
2. Media Management Continuously evaluate, refine and manage multiple digital marketing campaigns including AdWords/PPC, display, retargeting, social advertising, SEO, SEM, and mobile. Review and optimize advertising on a day-to-day basis. Manage communication campaign budgets and make recommendations for where to spend budget dollars. Work with the web development and strategic marketing teams to optimize copy for search engine optimization. Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization. Keep supervisor informed of client workflow and market challenges.
3. Reporting Develop success metrics and measure/analyze campaign results in order to prove success. Develop and produce monthly reports to identify conversions and track KPIs.
4. Research Perform competitive and industry research to identify digital marketing opportunities. Stay abreast of new media and communication vehicles. Identify best practices and implement them as needed at Loyola.

Required Qualifications:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience preferably in digital media, marketing, communications, or advertising
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing and/or advertising
  • Experience with Google and Microsoft search and display ads
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in SEM
  • Proficient with Facebook Ad Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter Advertising, TikTok Ads, Snapchat Ads
  • Basic proficiency in HTML
  • Ability to learn how paid, owned, and earned media intersect and ability to identify how/when to engage each discipline to enhance all communication plan efforts as needed
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and UTM codes to track goals, metrics, and conversions.
  • Highly detail and results-oriented
  • A self-starter with strong execution and follow up skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to think creatively and juggle multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to work well with team members and partners across the university and community

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Google AdWords Certified
  • Experience and knowledge of Regular Expressions
  • Proficiency with Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in SEO
  • Budget management experience
