For over a century, the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) has been at the forefront of social change, championing the needs of women, children, and families while taking a progressive stance on such issues as reproductive rights and justice, voter engagement, the federal courts, and civil rights.

NCJW seeks a Digital Communications Associate who will be a critical member of the communications and marketing team. The Digital Communications Associate will execute NCJW's digital platform strategy, including social media, email, and web.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create digital content, including copy, graphics, GIFs, videos, shot lists, and other collateral as required.
  • Execute communications projects from conception through publishing.
  • Serve as the organization's key storyteller by attending events, conducting interviews, and leveraging senior leadership's work to develop compelling, hard-hitting content, including writing (internal recaps, blogs, op-eds, and more), video (Instastories, Reels, YouTube, and more), photography, and pull quotes.
  • Own the newsletter process from ideation to sending and analysis, bringing opportunities for improvement to the communications team.
  • Proactively reviews responses to NCJW media and messages, bringing anything noteworthy or concerning to leadership's attention in a timely fashion.


  • 1-2 years of experience in a digital communications role developing content for organizational or corporate social media. Must have a love for and proficiency in Canva.
  • Experience making high-quality videos using phones, and/or editing videos for maximum leverage of footage, clarity of message, and channel (especially TikTok)
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be very comfortable with public speaking and being in front of large rooms of people.

About the Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate is a digital native, ready to develop copy, graphics, GIFs, and videos that translate complex ideas and strategies into simple and cohesive communications that are visually appealing, tell a compelling story, and inspire action. This role reports to the Associate Director of Communications.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range is $50,000-$60,000. Comprehensive benefits package includes health and dental insurance and a generous vacation and holiday schedule.
