Summary of Position

JobsOhio seeks to become a leading analytics-driven organization that achieves better performance through data.

The Data Analyst will support the Director, Enterprise Analytics in executing data management activities. The Data Analyst will specialize in the collection, interpretation and sharing of data across the enterprise including through the build out of data visualizations. The Data Analyst will be a strong cross-functional collaborator and provide day-to-day execution support of strategic projects that involve wide range of datasets, develop solutions, promote self-service, provide data insights, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and predictive analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely analytical deliverables in support of the data strategy
  • Create a wide range of reports on varying cadences (e.g., on-demand, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports with respect to key performance indicators
  • Provide data insights based on information within various reports and dashboards
  • Use tools to automate, enhance, govern data collection, usage, and delivery
  • Assist in the development of business processes to drive efficiency and accuracy in data
  • Translate ad-hoc requests into reusable data sets that can scale to answer big-picture questions
  • Build strong relationships across multiple teams for data usage and quality
  • Advocate and provide data driven insights for the Data Steering Committee
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop or enhance knowledge of tools and data
  • Have fun contributing with an open growth-oriented mindset
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Director

  • Expertise in employing data analytics tools and creating and enhancing data visualization
  • Strong analytical skills to leverage various sets of data and disseminate into actionable insights
  • Proficiency with Tableau, including Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Prep
  • Expertise with dashboard development, design, web connectors, API's and self-service dashboard concepts
  • Proficient Excel, SQL skills or fluency in similar programming languages
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Snowflake and/or similar data sources to pull relevant data
  • Familiarity with statistical or mathematics skills
  • Familiarity with data modeling and data integrations
  • Familiarity with R, Python (not required by preferred)
  • Familiarity with ETL and data concepts

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, math, economics, data science, software engineering, statistics, or a related technical field
