Customer Service Specialist

Polytek is a leading manufacturer of mold making materials and casting applications. We are currently looking for a highly motivated, and extremely organized Customer Service Specialist to join our rapidly expanding company to perform the following responsibilities.


  • Maintain positive customer interactions and relationships
  • Collaborating and coordinating with various departments to fulfill customer requests, ensure timely fulfillment of orders, determine the status of orders and/or resolve problems.
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues
  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
  • Suggests and implements ways to improve the service along the customer journey
  • Build relationship with customers to take phone and email orders and process them accurately using an electronic order processing system
  • Process credit cards, returns/refunds, and create and distribute invoices
  • Answer customer service inquiries regarding status of order, tracking, inventory, etc.
  • Strong verbal/written communication; professional interactions with customers over email and phone
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Sitting and working on the computer almost all day
  • Frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds
  • Use of a computer keyboard

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business related discipline
  • Highly motivated and can work independently, detail oriented, organized and efficient.
  • Willingness to learn and obtain knowledge of the business operations and be able to provide back-up support when needed.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to email in a professional manner to customers, business partners and wholesale account representatives.
