Based in Atlanta, the customer service and sales group provides nuclear power, government, university and commercial laboratories with reference and calibration standards, sources, and proficiency tests to support quality measurements traceable to national standards.

The Job

Eckert & Ziegler Analytics seeks a Customer Service Representative I. This position qualifies leads, develops quotations, and processes orders for the Isotrak line of reference and calibration sources and proficiency test materials. Inquiries come via e-mail, phone, and referrals from other team members. Setting the gold standard with our customer service, the position answers customer questions and follows up with production, quality, and technical groups as appropriate to respond in a timely manner. The position is hybrid.


  • Answer incoming sales and customer service calls, including providing information and quotes to the customer.
  • Inform customer of unit prices, ship date, lead times/delivery information, etc.
  • Enter quotes and orders in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system.
  • Route orders to Regulatory and Operations for fulfilment and follow-up on orders to ensure delivery by promised date.
  • Resolve customer issues including shipping delays, product complaints, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of the ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17043 standard requirements, and ensures respective departmental responsibilities to the standard are met.


  • Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: Associate degree in a science or business-related field required. A 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum experience required: At least one-year experience in customer service, sales, or marketing.
  • Abilities and skills required:
    1. Communicate professionally with customers including identifying and fulfilling their needs and resolving any issues.
    2. Communicate effectively with peers and management. Proven flexibility and ability to work as part of a small but busy team.
    3. Ability and experience in selecting or identifying the correct technical product.
    4. Ability to work under strict regulatory controls.
    5. Skilled at unit conversion (i.e., 1000 ml = 1 liter).
    6. Strong reasoning skills.
    7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise software a plus.
    8. A desire to help customers meet their requirements in the laboratory community.
