The Customer Experience Representative is the first point of contact for all customers/patients/visitors at the Health Park in Manahawkin. The Customer Experience Representative is expected to provide an exceptional customer experience and will follow guidelines for escalating service recovery concerns. The Representative will adhere to all customer experience standards, including site dress code.

The Representative is also expected to have knowledge of all AtlantiCare services, programs, providers and resources. This position provides support at the front desk within the Health Park in Manahawkin and will assist with maintaining a clean facility and building supplies. The Customer Experience Representative acts as a liaison to patients, physicians, staff, affiliate physicians, and outside consumers providing referrals to services and expediting appointments based on symptoms and expressed needs of the callers.

The Customer Experience Representative Communicates and collaborates with Patient Access Team Members and other hospital personnel to provide quality customer service and smooth transitions. This position also is expected to attend community events throughout the year as required.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service; participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.


EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required.


EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years office experience required; preferably in a medical setting. Minimum 1 year insurance experience required. CPT4 and ICD910 coding experience preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft/Computer Applications required. Staff will be trained appropriately on all programs used for this position. Excellent communication/interpersonal/organizational skills required. Demonstrates the ability to provide excellent customer telephone performance standards and demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks required. The Representative is required to interact effectively with internal and external customers consistently while maintaining delivering of an excellent customer experience.

This position has the potential for exposure to the hazards and risks of the health care environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. The position requires standing and moving for long periods of time, and also involves periods of sitting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The Representative works with computers/audio/visual equipment, copiers, fax machines and monitors. This position may also have exposure to cleaning supplies.
