The Community Mental Health (CMH) Program of the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) is accepting applications for a part-time (0.5 FTE) or a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position. The CMH program prepares students for the State of California MFT and LPCC licenses and a career in doing counseling and psychotherapy.

Teaching, advising and administration in the graduate program allows faculty members the opportunity to exercise broad-ranging intellectual curiosity; to work collaboratively with colleagues and students in formulating interdisciplinary inquiries; to develop and implement curriculum that addresses clinical theory and practice, cultural and contextual influences and factors (e.g., how cultural, gender and lifestyle issues shape people's experiences and concerns) and social justice (e.g., how social justice perspectives inform psychotherapy theory and practice); and to create inclusive learning environments for students and faculty members.

The CMH program is offered in a weekend/online format. For Fall and Spring semesters, CMH offers classes on 5 weekend dates, with additional online coursework. For the Summer semester, CMH offers classes on 4 weekend dates, with additional online coursework. Weekday and weekend schedule flexibility and availability will be important, as department meetings and committee work happen on Thursdays.
