* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey required.
* Minimum 2 years related experience within a clinical environment required.
* Managerial experience preferred.
* Experience with Joint Commission, CMS, and New Jersey Department of Health accreditation and regulatory functions (including pre and post survey activities) preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Regulatory and Accreditation works closely with the Corporate Director Quality and Accreditation, is responsible to oversee and manage a comprehensive program for accreditation, certification and regulatory activities for all ARMC sites. This includes, planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of assessment activities for ensuring continual compliance. The Coordinator serves as the leader and expert resource for regulatory/accreditation and licensure standards and sets expectations for compliance.



The Coordinator manages and implements a systematic approach to ensure a high level of awareness of regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. This includes an ongoing mechanism for proactive assessments of applicable regulations and standards providing consultation and education to relevant taskforce leaders, and committees to ensure translation of standards and requirements into policies and terms or processes meaningful to the staff to ensure ongoing compliance. The Coordinator develops and implements (in coordination with ARMC leadership) a program of continuous monitoring to assess accordance, define areas of vulnerability, and develop strategies to enhance compliance. The Coordinator provides leadership for auditing through surveillance activities to ensure compliance. This position also provides status reports to leadership with recommendations for effective strategies and action plans.



The Coordinator of Regulatory and Accreditation will lead and manage the Regulatory and Accreditation Task Force and coordinate efforts within the entire organization. The Coordinator maintains the Regulatory and Accreditation portal and manages the Accreditation and Certification calendar of activities for AtlantiCare.



The Coordinator coordinates and manages all accreditation, state and federal regulatory activities within ARMC to ensure compliance. This includes leadership and coordination for all Joint Commission, New Jersey Department of Health, and CMS surveys and complaint activities. Provides consultation and support to health system business units for response to urgent regulatory or accreditation issues.



Collaborates with clinical and business unit leaders to ensure compliance and coordinate survey related activities. Provides education to leaders in all areas related to regulatory and accreditation activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey required. Certification in related discipline (CPHQ, Joint Commission Accreditation Specialist) preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years related experience within a clinical environment. Experience with Joint Commission, CMS, and New Jersey Department of Health accreditation and regulatory functions (including pre and post survey activities) required. Proficiency in clinical applications required at time of hire. Exceptional management and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently& in a collaborative environment.

Demonstrates the ability to perform the department specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.



WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. The department specific Assessment and Evaluation Tool lists the essential functions of this position.
