Our Content Strategist thinks beyond content, catchy taglines, or social posts. Our Content Strategist works in a multitude of highly strategic pieces that range from website content strategy through brand tone-of-voice and core messaging. The work of the Content Strategist delivers on-strategy naming structure, brand tone-of-voice approaches, messaging strategy, and even nomenclature systems and architecture. While collaborating with strategists, UX/HCD researchers and designers, and other disciplines, the Content Strategist will be a key practitioner in developing strategic positioning statements and architecture, brand and big idea manifestos, and content architecture for our UI initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Carries the andculture creative point-of-view throughout all of our engagements
- Write copy that is elegantly clever and helps our clients stand out from the sea of sameness in a smart way.
- Partner with the design team when developing copy and content that live in design touchpoints and environment, with great attention to detail on project/initiative specificities.
- Lead the development of market-ready copy that lives in social, video scripts, audio, etc.
- Consult with our strategy team and seek recommendations and direction on SEO & Search approaches to content development in our UI/UX initiatives.
- Lead the strategic creation of brand and marketing verbal approaches from a high-level, articulated in principles and exhibits of tonality and industry-appropriateness.
- Maintain and uphold nuanced and sharp attention to detail.
- Defend copywriting choices through articulated arguments and rationale.
- On occasion, partner with Engagement and Account Advisory teams assisting in pitch decks and client presentations
- 2+ years in a related field or working in an agency experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking across industries and projects
- Proven ability to work copy through an art direction & design direction
- Proven ability to rapidly familiarize with complicated issues and industries
- Demonstrate the ability to nuance copy in different mediums and initiatives - you may be thinking about product names today and website content tomorrow!
- Can show strategic thinking how does your content carry through an entire campaign? A marketing journey? A digital experience?
- Experience using human-centered design approaches and research in developing content
- Experience combining data and relevant metrics into content approach; how can you take insights and turn them into actionable recommendations for content?
- Bonus points if you are digitally savvy and are familiar with voice-enabled branded experiences, chatbots, and voice-driven UI
