Position Overview

Work Areas/Position: Civil/Environmental, Remediation

Co-ops are given opportunities to contribute in multiple practice areas. Typically, Co-op work on projects in the petroleum/energy sector, remediation of legacy industrial sites, conceptual modelling of contaminant fate and transport, and redevelopment of contaminated properties. By balancing field and office work, Co-ops gain experience in all facets of the engineering process, including investigation, design, construction, and management.

Position requirements

• At a minimum, interested candidates should have taken core classes and electives relevant to civil/environmental engineering and remediation
• Candidates with current OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training are preferred, but HAZWOPER training is not required to apply.
• Reliable transportation required for commute and travel to field sites.

Essential Duties

Co-op responsibilities include:

• Drilling and Field Sampling
• Construction Oversight under close supervision by Roux staff
• Analyzing Field and Laboratory Data
• Engineering Design
• Cost Estimating
