Progeny has an opening for a Cloud / Cybersecurity Analyst to work out of our Chesapeake, VA office.
Duties and Responsibilities Be a member of a cybersecurity team responsible for assessing information systems for compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Perform security assessments and tasks related to the RMF authorization process
Prepare artifacts needed for Security Authorization packages, to include System Security Plans (SSPs), architectural overviews, system categorizations, Security Assessment Plans (SAPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) summaries and continuous monitoring plans
Perform system validations, assess NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171 security controls, perform security scans, and execute STIGs
Perform Administration and DevOps in a cloud computing environment
Skills/RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience and working knowledge of NISST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171
Experience and working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Familiarity with software engineering disciplines from requirements development to validation
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including configuring VPCs, EC2 Instances, Security Groups, Elastic Load Balancers, RDS Instances, and AWS Config
Ability to design, administer, and maintain cloud architectures in AWS
Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision skills
Experience with eMASS is desired
Experience with cybersecurity within cloud environments is desired
Education/Experience B.S. degree in IT Security, Systems Engineering or a related technical field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience.)
3 years minimum experience in cybersecurity or related field
CompTIA Security+ certification
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
CISSP certification is desired
AWS Certified Architect is desired
This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.Physical and Mental Requirements for all positions:
