Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.

The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for ensuring referrals for care coordination services within OhioRISE are completed. The coordinator will oversee a team of referral specialists across multiple regions and will maintain working relationships with staff and community partners in those regions. This position will also directly support the Managing Director of Care Management.


Essential Functions:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of Referral Specialists through various methods including but not limited to team meetings and regular communications
  • Manage referrals and referral processing for OhioRISE care coordination.
  • May directly process referrals for care coordination, ensuring a client is eligible, setup, and referred to Care Coordinator(s) within the established program timelines.
  • Follow-up for any missing information when necessary.
  • Monitor referral status and follow up with Referral Specialists and Care Coordinators to ensure initial visits occur within the required program timelines.
  • Document all referral activity.
  • Provides routine support and assistance to staff through individual and group conferences, assistance in analyzing case problems, and in improving their processing and helping skills.
  • Reviews management reports and case records
  • Evaluates performance of staff members and recommends appropriate action to the manager.
  • Participate in the review and selection of new staff, including but not limited to completion of position requisitions, applicant reviews, and interviews.
  • Responsible for implementation and oversight of organizational policies, procedures and/or processes.
  • Trains new employees in areas such as organizational policy, procedures, and organizational or governmental regulations.
  • Support and work with Managing Director in all aspects of administration, operations, planning and development.
  • Provide preliminary contact with the public; greets business and service associates and directs communications on behalf of the Managing Director.
  • Manages and organizes office operations and acts as the point of contact for internal and external business support functions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Three years experience working in a medical referral position and/or nonprofit administrative management environment required.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of OhioRISE guidelines and requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with community-based organizations and diverse constituencies.
  • Demonstrated high degree of cultural awareness.
  • Ability to use appropriate databases, spreadsheets, and other software.
  • Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
  • Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
