Summary of Position

We are looking for a qualified Brand Campaign Manager to join our team. TheManager, who reports to the Director, Brand Marketing oversees the strategy and execution for marketing campaigns that support JobsOhio's economic development initiatives, programs, and target industries. The Manager will work across areas of the organization to develop campaigns and supporting material that span all touch points (which could include paid media, social media, events, and content partnerships, email and other 1:1 marketing, websites, etc.). He/she provides strategic oversight and connectivity across paid, owed and earned media channels, ensuring that our brand message is effectively communicated to the target audience. The Brand Campaign Manager will orchestrate subject matter experts to activate the channel plan, coordinate execution, and communicate results. The Manager must be a change-agent, focused on driving growth through creative uses of traditional and non-traditional vehicles, as they are expected to conceive, plan, and execute winning and innovative campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building strategic marketing plans across print and digital platforms which culminate in lead generation and brand building. You must be able to work at the strategic level (generate the ideas) and at the tactical level (ensuring the strategic plan gets done). Detail orientation, analytical aptitude, a can-do attitude and flexibility will be key to your success.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager will be expected to own initiatives and projects from end-to-end and perform analysis on all related marketing activities. This role requires excellent relationship management skills, communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally on multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with superior project management skills.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan; this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market; has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning.

  • Demonstrate marketing ownership of assigned categories keeping them current and relevant, aware of updated facts and overall performance. Continued proactive optimization of assigned areas of the business in partnership with members of the marketing team.
  • Create, design, and implement joint marketing plans and activities with key partners
  • Ability to take concept/request and develop strategic initiatives, along with driving tactical execution to meet stated objectives
  • Manage the development and execution of compelling and effective programs by collaborating with internal teams and external partners (agencies/vendors)
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes
  • Provide post-mortem reports to all stakeholders
  • Aggregate business reports quarterly and annually
  • Manage cost elements of each executed activity
  • Support internal teams (ex. Research team) to ensure branded material is current, cohesive and meets industry/program needs
  • Other duties as required


Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of strategic planning experience, preferably in a business setting
  • Proven work experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
  • Experience supporting various industries
  • The ability to build and develop a brand and sector strategy
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and CRM
  • Project Management leadership and skills
  • Strong presentation, listening and communication skills
  • Manage challenging situations and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of independent and strategic thinking
  • Engaged, flexible, motivated and success driven

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
