Purpose of Position

The Branch Manager is responsible for the deposit growth, production of non-interest income, and overall management of the branch staff to ensure all procedures are followed and that customers receive service above expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Management (70% of Job Responsibility)

  • Work with management and other employees to develop marketing strategy for bank
  • Manage branch sales activities
  • Assist in organizing, planning, and coordinate bank functions
  • Increase business through community and civic involvement and business development calls
  • Develop and service deposit relationships
  • Understand and promote all bank products and services
  • Cross sell by identifying opportunities for other bank products and services to be referred to other specialist within the bank. Follow-up with all customers to ensure the opportunity was realized
  • Meet deposit growth goals as outlined in annual objectives

Office Management (30% of Job Responsibility)

  • Ensure proper scheduling of all employees to ensure adequate coverage
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and branch audits are being completed property and on time.
  • Learn all aspects of new account products and services the bank offers and be able to back up the teller or new accounts area when needed.
  • Set-up annual review calendar and ensure annual reviews of branch staff are conducted timely
  • Coach, develop, and train branch employees on products and services as well as selling techniques to ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality customer service
  • Develop ways to reward staff for meeting/achieving goals

Minimum Training and Experience Required/ Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Finance or high school diploma with minimum 5-years experience in the following areas: supervisory, branch operations, and outside business development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Demonstrate strong commitment and dedication to the position and overall bank goals
