SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for an Association Education Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Scientific Industry Practice in Chicago, IL or Washington, D.C. The Healthcare & Scientific unit offers unmatched association expertise and specific knowledge of the issues, challenges and actions distinctive to the changing healthcare environment. From legislative and regulatory advocacy, to building successful professional relations programs and understanding the intricacies of journal publishing and management issues, our association professionals bring extensive experience and considerable knowledge of the issues unique to healthcare-related associations. The Association Education Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting and guiding the nonprofit volunteers and members from our client healthcare organizations.

What You Will Do

• Provide administrative and project support to the client, staff, and specialist teams
• Serve as staff liaison to client committees and manage group work
• Manage annual call for volunteers
• Participate in annual budgeting process specific to educational products and services and monthly financial review
• Maintain and update areas of the association website as it relates to role
• Apply the use of all eLearning and technology tools to support client education initiatives, including abstract management tools, discussion forums, eLearning development software, web-conferencing tools, and live capture/recording tools
• Assist in the production of online professional development opportunities via eLearning courses, podcasts, webcasts, and live capture at meetings
• Assist in coordination and execution of client's annual live educational conferences; including speaker management, educational content portion of marketing materials,
• Assist in coordination and execution of client's live webinars; including speaker management, educational content portion of marketing materials, evaluations, and program-specific invoicing (speaker honoraria or expense reimbursement)

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

• Nonprofit volunteer management experience
• Experience in educational content planning for professional healthcare associations
• Database management experience is a plus
• Experience with Articulate
