**Northrop Grumman is seeking** an Associate Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Engineer. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in **Gilbert, AZ.**

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grummans Launch Vehicles Business.

**Roles and Responsibilities **

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

**Basic Qualifications for Associate Mechanical Engineer:**

**A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:**

+ Be completing or has completed their Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
+ Be majoring in or having majored in a Mechanical Engineering or related field
+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
+ Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

**Basic Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer:**

**A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:**

+ Be completing or has completed their Masters Degree from an accredited institution.
+ Be majoring in or having majored in a Mechanical Engineering or related field
+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
+ Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

**Preferred Qualifications for both levels:**

+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher

Salary Ranges

Associate Engineer: 53,500.00 - 80,300.00

Engineer: 64,600.00 - 97,000.00
