Position Summary:

Leads the management and execution of the U.S. Consumer Marketing strategy and its tactical plans and activities to support CNS brand launches and upkeep, specifically for consumers, inclusive of direct-to-consumer (DTC) and direct-to-patient/caregiver (DTP) audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to overall consumer marketing strategy development and annual budget planning.
  • Translates clinical data and market research insights for the education and benefit of patient, caregiver, and consumer audiences.
  • Leads the synergistic implementation of consumer strategy (e.g., patient journey, messages and claims) across all tactics including DTC (e.g., television, print) and DTP (e.g., websites, brochures, CRM).
  • Plans the development and execution of core DTC tactics (i.e., the development and production of television commercials and print advertising).
  • Plans the development and execution of consumer marketing materials and point-of-care programs.
  • Plans the development and execution of consumer marketing-related exhibits, -sponsorship's and -sales meeting materials.
  • Manages the inventory of printed resources.
  • Manages the evaluation and execution of paid media plans.
  • Partners with Digital Marketing in the development and execution of consumer digital tactics (e.g., brand.com, DSE.com, CRM, social media).
  • Partners with Commercial Insights, Analytics and Operations to evaluate and measure impact of omni-channel marketing activities.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement criteria.
  • Monitors and evaluates KPIs and measurement criteria for optimization of tactics.
  • Evaluates innovative technologies and tactics aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Partners with and supports cross-functional departments/colleagues like HCP Marketing, Digital Marketing, Commercial Operations, Sales, Sales Training.
  • Participates in and adheres to MLR submission and review processes.
  • Develops and delivers presentations as needed to commercial leadership and other internal groups.
  • Adheres to all corporate policies and industry guidelines in a compliant manner
  • Manages and monitors yearly budget.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field; MBA strongly preferred. A minimum 8 years of progressively-responsible experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry within the Marketing arena and 5 years Digital Marketing experience required. Consumer Marketing experience required. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Must possess:

  • Recent blockbuster brand experience, launch experience or major new indication launch experience.
  • Biopharma brand management and omni-channel tactical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building omni-channel marketing campaigns with a strong emphasis on digital
  • Demonstrated successes in one or more areas of marketing development, execution and measurement (e.g., market research, campaign development, program development, tactical implementation, ROI analysis).
  • Demonstrated experience directing partner suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface/collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals.
  • Negotiating skills, specifically with business partners or management and influencing senior-level leaders regarding matter of significance to the organization.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating department or area issues and results within and across functional areas, and delivering presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines. Able to gain the cooperation others.
  • Skilled at effectively leading a cooperative team effort and organizing resources to achieve team goals. .Able to make and prioritize process and resource decisions based on overall team needs.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Scope:

May provide guidance to subordinates and/or manages department section, to achieve goals in accordance with established policies and to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Receives assignments in the form of objectives. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions; determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Works on issues of diverse scope which require evaluation of a variety of factors ad an understanding of functional area objectives and trends. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may add to costs and impact the short-term goals of the organization.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel by car or airplane independently overnight up to 50% of the time and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business issues.
