Join our growing General Construction Team! Compu Dynamics has an immediate opening for Assistant Project Manger covering Northern Virginia.

Essential Functions:

1. Communicates and follows up with PM and clients about specific project objectives and deliverables
2. Assists with preparing contract agreements and purchase orders
3. Assist with preparing submittals and requests for information
4. Assists in preparing written estimates for clients based on labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts and other expenses
5. Assists in obtain all necessary permits as directed by PM
6. Ability to review drawings and specifications to become familiar with the project.
7. Work with the PM to identify long lead times and critical path items then assist in tracking items to completion
8. Visit project sites to evaluate progress and to respond to client's concerns or questions
9. Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need
10. Communicates with site superintendents about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients and the project team
11. Responsible for maintaining an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship
12. Drives throughout service area while following all local laws
13. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree and/OR equivalent education and experience;

2. Any level of experience in Project Management or construction.

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science or Architecture field

2. Construction experience with a commercial General Contractor

3. SCIF Construction experience a plus

4. Experience with Data Center, Healthcare, Life Sciences and/or Tenant Fit-out, PMP Certification

5. Active Security Clearance a plus

6. Plan Grid, Procore, On Screen OST software skills
