Description:

The Analyzer Technician provides maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to analyzers (process, environmental, and safety)

Responsibilities Include:

Perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance on plant instrumentation and electrical equipment (4160 volts and below).

Perform calibrations of instrumentation and testing of interlocks.

Troubleshoot and repair instrument loops and electrical problems, and order/specify parts needed.

Effectively use typical test and calibration equipment including pneumatic calibrators, digital and analog multi-meters, meggers, and laptops for equipment communication.

Assist in the investigations of root causes of equipment failures.

Document work performed in procedures and/or work packages as appropriate.

Update equipment records and files in plant library as appropriate.

Maintain portable measuring and test equipment, and electrical safety equipment in accordance with established requirements.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum five years experience in instrumentation and electrical maintenance within a chemical plant or an industrial environment, including troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and calibration.

Minimum three years experience maintaining and repairing Analyzers and related equipment.

A team-player approach to work, good organizational and priority-setting skills, detail-oriented, and a strong personal safety philosophy

An understanding of Analyzer Sample Systems and Methods.

Ablity to maintain/repair Gas Chromography Analyzers, Moisture Analyzers, LEL Meters, O2 Analyzers, FID, and Online utility Analyzers.

Knowledge and understanding of Siemens Maxum II

An understanding of PLCs and Microprocessors.

Flexibility to work potential overtime, if needed (including weekends and holidays), given advanced notice.

Capable of the physical demands related to this position, including frequent walking, standing working in confined spaces, climbing ladders/scaffolding to perform elevated work, repetitive motion, and occasional lifting of weights up to 60 pounds.

Must be currently eligible to work in the United States without the need for any type of sponsorship.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

Degree or certification in an instrumentation or electrical related field

Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)

Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
