As a key member of the Global Commercial Capabilities (GCC) team, the Administrative Coordinator (AC) will be primarily responsible for complex administrative support activities supporting multiple Executive Directors/Directors for GCC. GCC is a newly formed team in 2020 and is primarily responsible for developing and strengthening capabilities across the global is partnership with cross functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Proactively manage executive meeting calendars with multiple priorities. Identify conflicts and creatively resolve, coordinate travel arrangements, prepare itineraries, process expense reports (as applicable)
  • Schedule cross functional meetings and respond to meeting requests
  • Coordinate interviews for job openings on the GCC team
  • Coordinate meetings & capture, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes
  • Manage distribution lists and organizational charts.
  • Support communications and distributions for the GCC team
  • Provide backup support to designated AC
  • Administrative special projects

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree and 2 years of administrative experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 4 years of administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Amgen experience
  • 2+ years in an administrative support role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced fluctuating environment
  • Flexible, take initiative and work well independently and in teams
  • Self-starter who can function autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience providing administrative support to remote staff
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively establish and maintain professional relationships, partner with colleagues, and achieve required business outcomes
  • Demonstrate strong abilities in prioritizing, managing multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines and priorities, tracking and reporting the status of assignments and activities
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, solutions-oriented, problem solver
  • Knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
