The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national not-for-profit association established in 1863 representing over 100,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Veterinary Economics Division team located at the AVMA Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago.
Reporting to the Chief of Professional Relationships and Strategic Initiatives, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Chief Officer, divisional staff, and governance entities. Administrative support includes the preparation of agenda materials; coordinating and scheduling internal and external meetings including logistics; collating reports, preparing meeting minutes and correspondence; maintaining records for the division and assigned entities; coordinating travel arrangements; as well as performing general administrative tasks and special projects as assigned. This position will also support the planning and implementation of the annual AVMA Business and Economic Forum. Less than 5% travel. Hybrid work environment.
